English Ales ~ we always endeavour to showcase a breadth of styles across English pale, bitter and golden plus a juicy hopped special. One of our permanent is Hereford Pale Ale from Wye Valley. Present on our bar for 16 years this classic English pale is made with locally grown Target and Celeia hops, abv 4%. 3 other ales are on rotation.
English cider ~ from Haselor 3 miles away, we have Hogans Cider both in standard draught form and a seasonal special. Draught 4.5%, seasonal is changeable abv.
Westons Stowford Press, abv 4.5% from Herefordshire with 100% home pressed apples.
Korev, from St Austell, 4.8% ~ a lager in the Helles style so pale and crisp. Our favourite British lager.
Kozel, Czech Pilsner, 4% ~ easy drinking session strength, brewed with the classic Saaz hops in the same Czech village since 1874.
Vedett Extra Blond, Belgium 5% ~ brewed for decades by Duvel Moorgat it was released on draught in 2010 and it has been our premium Pilsner offering since then.
Erdinger Weissbrau, Bavaria, Germany 5.3% ~ the world’s favourite wheat beer and permanently here for 20 years
Craft beers sprung from a passionate desire to save our palates from industrialised products that all tasted the same, to salvage the authentic flavours of the world’s greatest beers and to restore the artists hand in the making of this beloved beverage.
Brewdog, Scotland ~ pushing boundaries since 2007 and still leading the way in the UK craft beer scene. This is on permanently but rotating across Punk IPA 5.4%, Dead Pony Pale Ale 3.8%, seasonals and small batch.
In the early days we featured many American craft beers on this font but we feel the UK is where it’s at now. Expect to see beers from one of our favourites – Tiny Rebel, Wild Beer, Buxton, Magic Rock, Deya, Partizan, North, Beavertown, Cloudwater
